What Can Happen Over Time
When you purchase one of my images, you can be assured of quality. I use only acid-free backing boards, mats, tapes and packaging materials for assembly. Printing is done exclusively with professional Epson ink jet printers using Epson UltraChrome Inks. The printing paper or canvas type and manufacturer is carefully matched to this ink to help facilitate a predicted fade-free life approaching 100 years in accordance with the results of accelerated life tests conducted by the Wilhelm Imaging Institute, a leading resource for the study of image permanence. Every framed paper print that I sell is mounted under UV glass. This is very important, as framing under UV glass has been shown to increase image life by 50% or more in most cases. The canvas prints I sell are given three coats of a tough UV protectant that can be cleaned as necessary.
